My kid's in the hospital.
With flippin', pneumonia.
So if you're looking for me, that's where I am.

I wish I were drunker.
I've taken to watching baseball, which I have never ever had any interest in until about 4 nights ago. Hmm.
Some have brought it to my attention that I'm hitting and running the blog lately, which is true. That's because I'm working on the book! Everyone jump up and down!

Ooh, rock me Amadeus.
Er war superstar
Er war popular...
What do I know about hot--I used to think that song was.

I do love The Killers, however.
I purchased Hot Fuss and I adore it.
If you missed the Vote for Change concert on your television, I'm sorry. Seeing Dave Matthews rock out with Michael Stipe was quite enough to keep my celebrity boyfriend meter in the green for a while. It is so encouraging to know that people whose talent I so highly respect are my political brethren. And sistren. I hope November 2nd will be a good day.

"I'm getting old and I need something to rely on."
I don't know if I like the band Keane.
I am quite sleepy and must be awake in 4 hours. I will be blogging next on Monday to detail my unnatural attachment to Tomoyasu Hotei's "Battle Without Honor or Humanity". Extra points if you know who Hotei is.
And if you have a minute why don't we go somewhere only we know.

The feminist movement as male ego destroyer.
It seems that once the feminist movement gained ground, and women were able to gain ground culturally and in the workplace, men no longer knew what to do with themselves.

They don't need to support a wife, since a wife can get her own job (and usually has to in this economy). They don't need to buy jewelry, because women buy their own jewelry. Et cetera. So today, men are slightly shiftless in their intentions toward themselves and toward women. They don't feel pressure to get a 'good job' straight out of school. They don't feel pressure to pay for dinner. At the basest level, they don't feel needed, and they figure eh, fuck it.

I recently saw the Bourne Identity, which was alright as a movie, but absolutely fascinating as a film defining a man.

Honestly, I don't feel like talking about men until I come to Blogger! Jiminy!
I was all ready to talk about Gwen Ifill and her deficient moderating skills.
Maybe next time.

(note to Mr. Brody: I kid! I kid because I love!)

Our crack reporters have told me all kinds of stuff about Scott Peterson, but nothing about making sure I register to vote. Many young people think you can just stroll in and cast your vote--nope. Not that simple. Registration deadlines quickly approach.
Also, George Bush is a petulant, dim man. "You forgot Poland!"
Wow. Our crack reporters also tell me that his debating skills are comparable to John Kerry's. Uh...okay.
